Prototyped an EHR-integration client and Chrome extension with an external data partner, pulling patient data via API from systems like Athenahealth to lay groundwork for a new product line.
Context
Separately from the internal ops portal, an external data partnership was pushing toward a new product line built on pulling patient data out of third-party EHR systems, which meant building a client capable of authenticating against and querying systems this team didn't control.
Approach
Prototyped an EHR-integration client and a companion Chrome extension, in partnership with an external data partner, to pull patient data via API from systems like Athenahealth.
Outcome
The prototype validated a workable path toward a new product line built on external EHR data, ahead of any commitment to a full production build.
